Some people grow up around sports or music. I grew up in salons.
As a teenager, you would find me spending hours sitting in my local hair salons. Watching, learning, helping out for free. Just soaking up the atmosphere. There is something special about those spaces. The buzz, the creativity, the transformation. I loved being part of it.
Later, while studying at university, I owned my own salon. And let me tell you, running a salon, managing clients, and trying to find decent, long-lasting furniture was a whole other challenge. I spent hours sourcing equipment, dealing with suppliers, comparing quality. It was overwhelming.
